This week on Survivor Fiji, Lisi returned from Exile Island to join the Ravu Tribe. She replaces Anthony who was voted out at the last Tribal Council. Lisi had some tough sailing ahead of her. Tribe Ravu has always lost the Immunity Challenge, and Tribe Ravu has always voted out a woman.
When they shuffled the tribes, Ravu and Moto did alternating schoolyard picks. Ravu chose all men. Lisi was the odd person out. She went to Exile Island for a total meltdown. Ravu lost - as always - but had no woman to send home. Rocky declared Anthony to be the girlie-man and sent him home instead. So far, Rocky the woman hater has controlled every Ravu vote.
Lisi arrives by boat. As she steps off, she grabs a mouthful of sea water, swishes, and spits it back out. She walks into camp. Not one person had come to the beach to see her arrive.
Ravu really is a bunch of losers. We get a stomach full of Rocky’s attitude throughout the episode. We see his best bud Mookie making fun of Yao-Man trying to throw the fire ball in the first challenge. We know Ravu has done pretty much nothing around camp in more than two weeks.
However, that’s about to change. But perhaps not in the way we expect!

All over the internet I have seen various articles about Lynne Spillman, Casting Director of Survivor Reality show series. Many various writers are saying they feel Lynne should be fired, because she has cast a poor season of Survivor Fiji, and The Amazing Race. Before writing negative opinions, I think more people need to do their homework.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Survivor World. A few minutes ago I saw my baby girl Wendy, leaving the house to go to her first High School Ring dance. She was so beautiful dressed in her white and silver evening gown, with a green shawl draped over her shoulders to celebrate the day. After she left, I started thinking of my mother, who passed this past December 12, 2006. I went back in time, remembering my first Junior dance, back in 1968. A young man named Roger was my escort and my mother was so proud that night when I left the house dressed in a white and silver, short formal dress. Mother and I had shopped for weeks getting everything ready for that one special night. (more…)

People often wonder what it is that causes obsessions. Rather than worry about the obsession, I feel it is better to embrace the love of the sport, or love of the television program. It gets to technical to worry about everything in life. So, as long as your obsession doesn’t hurt anyone, go with the flow and enjoy everything you love and obsess about to the point of humor and fun. Along the way, your obsession may draw a lot of attention from people who don’t truly understand what the drawing force is that makes you love your favorite football team, favorite singer, or your favorite television show like I do! I absolutely love the thrill and adventure of the Survivor reality show. (more…)

Mark Burnett holds the title of “GENIUS” in the world of reality television. Burnett opened the wavelengths of just about anything goes in the world of challenge of the human spirit. Burnett had the brains, from his own experiences to know that the strong will of man and the many challenges of survivor skills, could open the doors to entertaining moments when taped under stressful conditions. Burnett pursued his ideas, and put them to the test under the careful management of top notch producers, casting directors and cameramen. He did his homework and hired the best in the field of challenging television mania. He went to the limits to provide the best entertainment possible, in the new world of reality tv. The Ravu tribe is finally coming to life. After having lost all these games and challenges the team finally got the taste of an almost victory. Coming so close to a win might just be enough to make their performances stronger if they can just get their strong wills to surface. In this game it is the challenge of who has the strongest wills. So far the Ravu tribe has had to bite the bullet loss after loss. If the Ravu tribe can get a handle on how to play the game they still have a chance to come back in this game and surprise everybody! It will be to the advantage of the Ravu tribe if the Moto tribe continues to walk around with their pritches to high. THe only Moto tribe contestants who seem to have any foresight into the future outcome of the game are Alex, Dreamz and Cassandra. (more…)

Last May,2oo6, was a turning point in my 7 year journey of trying out for Survivor reality show. I had tried every antic and attention drawing idea i had. After 12 tryouts I knew I had to do something unique and different. Last May, while I was watching the Survivor 13 finale I was in for a shocker call. About 30 minutes into the Survivor 13 finale show I get a call from my sister-in-law with bad news. I am told that my oldest sister Mary Kath has been diagnosed with gastric cancer and that it is not curable. Here I am watching my favorite reality show and get blasted with such horrible news I just sat in my chair scatter brained and speechless. I continued to watch the show and cried and prayed for my sister and her family.
After the finale show ended, I decided to pour my heart out to Mark Burnett and (more…)

This week in Survivor Fiji, we have a great example of why it’s all about the numbers. As I’ll explain below, it’s quite possible that the dominant Moto tribe has just doomed themselves to rapid extinction. Thanks to evicting Liliana this week, it’s possible that not one of the final five Survivors will be from Moto!
How can this be? Moto has won every single competition! I am not talking about a momentum shift due to Moto being stupid. I’m simply running the numbers. Let’s take a look at this "worst case scenario" for Moto, and then run the numbers for some other interesting outcomes.
Last season was Survivor Cook Islands. For the first time ever, there were three finalists rather than two. Becky won the most embarrassing fire-building competition in the history of Survivor, sending her to join Yul and Ozzy for the final vote. There were nine members of the jury. That meant the jury began when we reached the final twelve: 9 on the jury, plus 3 before the jury.
This week on Survivor Fiji, we are down to 14. With two more departures, we are down to twelve. What if the tribes merge when we have twelve remaining? Think about it… it’s plausible. We bring the "have nots" over to Moto beach to join in the feast and comfort. Moto resents having to share their bounty. Twelve is a lot of people for one camp; there will be friction. It’s probably unexpected. And, it might give Ravu the opportunity to obtain both hidden Immunity Idols. (There is one hidden at each camp.) If Moto never gets sent to Exile Island, Moto will never know they have an Immunity Idol hidden in their camp!
Right now, Moto has a strong alliance of five: Edgardo, Alex, Boo, Lisi, and Stacy. Let’s assume we merge at twelve. Right now the two tribes are seven Survivors each, for a total of 14. Either one tribe or the other loses two people, or they each lose one. Let’s run those numbers… (more…)
