Survivor Cook Islands hit the news yesterday with the announcement that the 20 castaways will start out as tribes divided along racial lines. Mark Burnett, the producer, calls it a social experiment. I personally don’t see why we need to repeat that sort of social experiment.
We now know the lineup - at least the name, age, and alleged occupation. I notice that only three are under 25, and three are over 40. Fully half are 30-somethings. Well over half the castaways are over-30.
It’s been my observation from seasons past, that the older players tend to be better strategists. This could be good! I’m excited for the season to begin - in spite of Burnett possibly having an extremely bad idea.
Did you see the live finale of Treasure Hunters? How lame! To me it showed how good Probst really is. I loved the Treasure Hunters season - but the host is no Jeff Probst. Survivor IS done well. The competition proves the point!

Spoiler and strategy commentary by VikingBear
This week on CBS Big Brother All Stars, James and Chicken George are up for eviction. I expect James will be evicted, but as always, it’s not over until it’s over! Let’s take a look at some strategies and see what should happen.
I view Big Brother like a game of social chess. We have the opening moves, a middle game, and an end game. This week marks the strong transition from middle game to end game. As with chess, your end-game strategy needs to change from your middle-game strategy. I expect we will see some major changes. Alliances will change, strategies will change, and the game will flip several times. I can’t wait to see what happens!

Currently on CBS Big Brother All Stars, Mike Boogie is Head of Household. It’s also his last chance to use the Coup d’Etat.
Does it make any sense to use the Coup power against himself? Yes it does!!! Nominate two people - perhaps George and Erika - and let the Veto competition run its course. Then, just before the live vote, use the Coup power. Replace his own nominations with two more people. Perhaps Janelle and James.
The two real targets will not have known they needed to compete for Veto. (Veto saves you from the Coup nominations.) Then, suddenly just before the vote, they’re on the block! Out one of them goes.
“Bye bye bitches!”

Spoiler and strategy commentary by VikingBear
This week on CBS Big Brother All Stars, we have the potential for being what I’d call the perfect week. We had the first Do Over in Big Brother history, announced by the Executive Producer herself. My compliments for doing it right! We could now see the perfect week with the perfect eviction. It’s not the eviction that matters but what is NOT exposed in the process.
First, what’s up with Marcellas this year? He was quite personable first time around. Did he expect it to be easier this time around? Apparently so! But that might not be his issue at all. I have a theory! (more…)

Spoiler and strategy commentary by VikingBear
Tonight on CBS Big Brother All Stars, we ended the broadcast with a hint from Erika. She says she’s just a small town girl, from that small town called Chill. And the night cam showed us a hint of her night sleeping with Mike Boogie.
What’s real and what’s game? Are we seeing the distinction between lie and lay? We just might see some strategy at work that’s worthy of a true All Stars season. Here’s what’s happening. (more…)

Spoiler and strategy commentary by VikingBear
Tonight on CBS Big Brother All Stars the veto competition was stacked against Janelle. Janelle won the veto - but there was more than one game being played in the back yard tonight.
In my last spoiler, we saw that Will might be tangling the Black Widow in his own web of deceit. Click here for “Is the Black Widow Tangled In Will’s Web?” On tonight’s broadcast, Will granted us a Diary Room interview that explains this strategy, and gives us possible motivation for keeping Season Six around. Spoiler and strategy commentary by VikingBear
This week on CBS Big Brother All Stars, Danielle declared herself Black Widow! Black Widow! as she won Head of Household. In fact every woman in the competition beat every man in the competition. Will stepped down first so that he could have an uninterrupted hour of alone-time with Janelle.
Over the course of the week, we have formed a new alliance, the Legion of Doom. Will and Danielle are the back stabbers, Boogie is just Boogie, James is their eyes and ears in the Season Six alliance, and Danielle is the eyes and ears within the Floaters. (more…)

Spoiler and strategy commentary by VikingBear
This morning on CBS Big Brother All Stars, Will has begun his run for the Final Four. We will see many twists and turns to be sure, but Will has come out to play.
What happened? At 11:00 AM Big Brother Time, Will gave his plan to Boogie, and Boogie conveyed it to Danielle and James. It’s a sally worthy of the Evil Doctor Will for sure! (more…)

Strategy commentary by VikingBear
This season on CBS Big Brother All Stars, two house guests have been featured as gaining weight. First was Janelle, and this week it’s Howie. Let’s run with that theme, shall we, in the sense of fattening the lambs for the slaughter?
In the article Big Boy and Barbie (click here to see the article) I explained how Janelle and Howie could be good candidates for the Final Two as “the goat.” When it comes to the Final Two, you want the jury to be voting for you, and against the other person.
A classic example of using the goat is… (more…)

Strategy commentary by VikingBear
This week on CBS Big Brother All Stars, Danielle is Head of Household. James and Janelle have been nominated for eviction. Janelle has the Golden Power of Veto.
Danielle is having difficulty with her replacement for Janelle. She pretty much promised everyone in the house that they are safe, except George and Kaysar. She says she can’t nominate George “because he’s Chicken George!”
The plan of the moment, then, is to put up Kaysar. Kaysar knows and understands this. Kaysar does not yet realize that James is up there as a pawn, or that James is in a full alliance with Danielle.
The question for Chill Town is would they rather have James, or Kaysar, on the jury? Would they rather have James, or Kaysar, still in the game over the next 2-3 weeks? The answer just might be Kaysar, and here’s how we could make that happen. (more…)
