Survivor Panama: Exile Island Beginning the End Game
Strategy commentary by VikingBear

Next time on Survivor Panama: Exile Island, we’ll find out whether or not Bruce has become part of the jury. Six Survivors remain - five Casaya, and Terry. Any of the six can make it to the Final Two. The question is, who can make it to the Final Two and get the jury’s vote for that million dollars?

Survivor Panama: Exile Island Courtney and the Burners

Strategy commentary by VikingBear

On Survivor Panama Exile Island, Bobby declared Courtney Marit to be one of the three most annoying persons on the planet. Her actions as part of the Nut Case alliance leave us wondering which planet. From her own frame of reference, though, things just might be perfectly normal.

What makes Courtney tick? I don’t have a clue! But I’ve found some references that, put together, just might make her a bit more understandable. After all, we want to know how she might vote if she’s on the jury, or how she might get the vote if she’s in the final two!

Let’s take… (more…)

Survivor Panama: Exile Island - Your Choice, or Mine

Strategy commentary by VikingBear

On Survivor Panama Exile Island this week, Terry still has a winning strategy - other than winning every immunity challenge! The concensus seems to be that Terry is basically out of the game. Even if he does every single Immunity Challenge, the five Casaya members of the jury will still resent his cockiness, and give the million dollars to the sixth Casaya tribe member.

However, Terry does still have a winning strategy available to him. It needs to be simple for empty-headed Casaya to understand. It is! The advantage to the Casaya person needs to be so huge that they’re willing to stop being a bunch of sheep and actually play the game.

At the moment Casaya… (more…)

Survivor Panama: Exile Island - A bit perplexed this season

Sunday, April 16th, 2006

In Jackie’s Recap of this week’s Survivor Panama: Exile Island episode she concludes:

My opinion? I’m getting a bit perplexed with this season. Yes, I understand why Casaya members aren’t flipping. I don’t think I would, either. I like Terry. I think he’s pretty ethical in how he’s playing the game. He seems like a good guy and he’s definitely one of the strongest competitors ever on the show. While he has the figurative ace up his sleeve, is that going to be enough to go against the Sinister Six?

I think she has the right of it! We haven’t seen one single brilliant or gutsy move. I think perhaps the best move I’ve seen thus far came the very first episode, when Cirie survived that first Tribal Council. Every other move of the game has pretty much come to naught.

I have suggested all along that the Nut Case Alliance is strong and stable. That’s proven true! But those four are pretty much playing like sheep. And, that might be what’s so perplexing about this season. The sheep have outplayed the players!

Strategy commentary by VikingBear

We now know the first two jury members of Survivor Panama Exile Island. We have been strictly divided on tribal lines. How might that affect the jury vote for the final two? Can we expect the Nut Case Alliance of Shane, Aras, Danielle, and Courtney to be logical about their choices?

The first question is… (more…)

Cheese Burger Choices on Survivor Panama: Exile Island

Saturday, April 15th, 2006

In this week’s episode of Survivor Panama: Exile Island only three of the eight tribe members chose to compete in the Immunity Challenge. The other five felt they were safe. They were no more safe than Aras! (more…)

Big Brother All Stars

Saturday, April 15th, 2006

I hear Big Brother 7 will be an All Stars show. We viewers will be presented with a pool of candidates, and we vote to choose the 14 out of 20 or so, to remain in the house for the season.

I’m sure the show being an All Stars show will be great from a ratings standpoint, and it should be a great seller for the live feeds. I wonder if it will be lame like Survivor All Stars from a strategy standpoint. Maybe not… here’s hoping that people really mess with each other!

Terry Commits to Engage

Survivor Recap by VikingBear

Previously, on Survivor

Terry, Sally, and Austin face discouraging odds against their former Casaya tribemates. Terry explains that he hopes he can turn two persons over to his side.

At the reward challenge, the tribe was randomly divided into three groups of three. While winners Sally, Bruce, and Austin enjoyed breakfast in bed, Danielle and Austin spent a miserable two days of rain on Exile Island. Danielle explained that they had bonded quickly, and she’s possibly looking to Austin as a backup plan if something happens to her Casaya alliance of 6.

Back at camp, Terry tricked Shane into revealing the pecking order at Casaya. According to Shane, the final four will be Shane, Aras, Cirie, and Courtney. I personally suspect Shane was not being entirely truthful to Terry about the intended order of departure.
