Big Brother 7 All Stars: Guide the Bowling Ball For A Feast

Spoiler by VikingBear

Today on Big Brother All Stars, the house guests competed for food. Last week half the house - the losing side - went without food for the whole week. This week each pair of house guests competed for a single day’s food choices.

The back yard at Big Brother House appeared to be very hot. I was a bit worried for Chicken George. But he came through! The competition was… in the back yard. There was a slanted board like a ramp, holes all over it, and writing on the board giving the names of food choices.

The pair competing stood on either side of the ramp with a long stick between them. They used the stick to guide the bowling ball up the ramp. If they could guide their ball around all the holes and over the top, they earned a “feast” for that day. The pair competing got to determine the type of feast.

The feast is a catered meal. But, I suspect, not necessarily fancy. Could be take out, who knows! I thought Big Brother did a great job of messing with them last week, hopefully make them more appreciative of their rewards this week. Fat chance, as you’ll see below!

Also, on the slanted board, some of the holes are slop holes. The house guests don’t know which holes are the slop holes. If the ball falls in a slop hole, they win slop for the day. Still, that’s far better than uninteruupted slop for the whole week!

It’s tedious to work together and get that ball around the holes and up the ramp. One person calls out instructions to the other as they work their way up the board.

They started with next Monday, then went through the week, with the group voting on who does Sunday.

Groups got two tries, as nearly as I can tell. Marcellas and Janelle took a second try at it, and did just as badly the second time.

Chicken George kept having to stop and wipe off the sweat. It was extremely hot outside, and he had a hard time of it. Jase talked him through the thing quite nicely, though, and they won theirs. As soon as that ball went over the top, Chicken George fell down on the ramp.

Here are the results.

  • Marcellas and Janelle - Friday - Veggie and beer
  • George and Jase - Saturday - Feast
  • Boogie and Jase (chosen by vote) - Sunday - Feast
  • Erika and James - Monday - Feast
  • Boogie and Diane - Tuesday - Feast
  • Danielle and Will - Wednesday - Veggie, beer, bread, kumquat
  • Howie and Kaysar - Thursday - Feast

The challenge actually looked pretty difficult, requiring fine coordination, patience, teamwork, and dealing with the heat. Five out of seven days getting the feast is actually pretty impressive.

There seemed to be quite a bit of stage directing by Big Brother. The feeds kept reverting to FLAMES. I’m not sure what was up with that.

So far as I can tell, they don’t get slop even one day. No slop at all this week! So what do the house guests do? Complain about today being only veggie and beer. Of course they had breakfast, and they had lunch. But for the rest of the day they’re limited to veggie and beer. It’s nice to know the house guests keep their perspective, isn’t it?
